The Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias

Of the Domain of North Carolina 2014-2015

 

Executive Committee of the Council of Officers shall consist of the Grand Chancellor, Grand Vice Chancellor, the immediate Past Grand Chancellor and the Grand Secretary.  The Executive Committee shall hold three regular meetings each year at the call of the Grand Chancellor.

Committee on Judiciary shall consist of 5 members (3) Senior and (2) Junior members. This Committee shall consider and report upon all proposed amendments to the Constitution or By-Laws and such portions of reports as may be referred to it and such legislation as it may deem expedient.  It shall pass upon all By-Laws for subordinate Lodges before final adoption.

Committee on State of the Order shall consist of 5 members (3) Senior and (2) Junior.

They shall take cognizance of all matters pertaining to the welfare of the Lodge.  They shall report annually on the condition of the domain and recommend such measures for the good of the Order.

Committee on Finance shall consist of 5 members (3) Senior and (2) Junior members.

They shall audit the accounts of the Grand Treasurer and Grand Secretary at each annual convention.  They shall report the results to the Grand Lodge.  They shall recommend the investment of any funds of the Grand Lodge and exercise general supervision over the moneys, property, and accounts of the same.  They shall submit annually at the Convention an estimate of the expenditures for the coming year and an inventory of the property owned by the Grand Lodge. They shall perform such others duties as may be required of them by the Grand Lodge.

The Committee on Credentials shall consist of 5 members (3) Senior and (2) Junior members.  They shall examine and report on the certificates of Representatives, and Past Chancellors before the same can be admitted.

 

Butch Gantt (Chair), Bill Neely, Tom Thornton, Brian Deakins, Joe Teague

 

Committee on Fraternal Correspondence shall consist of 2 members (1) Senior and (1) Junior.  They shall examine and report upon the proceedings of other Grand Lodges and other communications and matters as may be referred giving a synopsis thereof.

Committee on Necrology shall consist of 5 members (3) Senior and (2) Junior members.  They shall present the list of Grand Lodge members, Past Representatives, Past Chancellors and members of subordinate lodges who have passed since the preceding Convention and shall arrange for the appropriate memorial service.

Committee on Extension shall consist of 7 member (5) Senior and (2) Junior members.  They shall be vested with the responsibility of reactivating defunct and/or inactive Subordinate Lodges and to locate and institute new Subordinate Lodges.  The committee shall meet and convene at least once each quarter.  The expenses shall be borne by the members of this Committee.

Grand Tribunal is appointed by the Grand Chancellor and shall consist of 3 members for a period of 3 years.  The Tribunes appointed –
